Turquoise inlaying is one of the handicraft works of Iran. In this method the small pieces of turquoise are inlayed on top of the surface of the different kinds of ornaments and accessories (these objects are mostly made of copper, brass, silver, nickel and bronze). The voids between the pieces are then filled with dark resin. The more turquoise chips and the less void between the pieces make the object more valuable. Isfahan is mainly known as the site for practicing this handicraft.
